Where are our christian principles in dealing with illegal immigrants?

I ask this question because 2000 years ago a man,a decent man from Palestine who would not be able to get into most countries today taught decency and compion and salvation and preached about helping the poor.Remember if such a man appeared today he would not have enough money to get into western countries and if you profess to be a christian how can you be sure that he will not come among them
