Is there a way the public can ask for removal of an appointed official? I.E. - Gross incompetence of Kashkari?

Neel Kashkari was part of goldman sachs (which failed). He is supposed to oversee the distribution of the monies approved for the Fall 2008 bailout (not the current one). He has NOT done his job. In fact if you watch the video of him being questioned by Rep Manzullo, Neel Kashkari contradicted himself by saying the AIG bonus was earned previous to the bailout, but then he states the entire executive team was replaced so how the hell could he have "earned" the bonus prior to the bailout? This is only one example of how Neel Kashkari has been incompetent. He did not have the qualifications for his current position so who the hell did he know to get him this position?
