What should I do with my hair?

My wedding is in about 44 days. My hair is pretty wimpy. It's very thin from being on the pill for about 14 years. It's curly, but so thin, and it's just to about my shoulders in a straight cut, no bangs. I think I need to cut it before the wedding. I'm a little nervous to do anything with it at this point though. It grows so slowly so I couldn't do anything drastic since there wouldn't be time to grow it out if I don't like it. I also don't want to cut much off because there will be even less to work with on the wedding day. I don't know what the hair style will be on the wedding day yet. Should I just get another usual trim to clean it up for now? I would like to make a change to it, but this is probably not the time right?
