Making a blanket/throw, are these materials ok?

The satin and suede will not go well together. The satin is not as stretchy as suede. Like the other posters said, the stitches will pull and frey. Why not combine suede and knit panels together? When I say knit panels, you can go to the thrift store and find a bunch of sweaters and cut them into panels or squares and sew them together and then to the suede.
