My dock on my mack isnt working..well just some of the icons arent?

You need to realize that Mac is different than Windows. If you use a Mac, than when you close out of a program by clicking the X on, you are not closing the application, just the window. You need to close the application by clicking on the file name up in the upper left corner and say quit, or press the command key (the key next to option with the funky little box with circles icon) and press Q. Both of those fully close the programs and allow you to fully log out.
